Amy Hayes, Massage Therapist, offers a variety of massage techniques
including deep tissue, healing stone and relaxation massage.  Massage can relieve
tension in your muscles, and most people use it for relaxation, relief of stress and
anxiety, or to reduce muscle soreness. Massage can also cause your body to release
natural painkillers, and it may boost your immune system.

Mary O'Toole, Reiki Master Teacher,  offers private Reiki sessions at
Transformations. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation
that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the
idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be
alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel
stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.  Reiki is a
simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that
everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and
malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all
other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

Kids and Teen Programs
Health and Wellness Workshops

In traditional learning environments lessons are geared more toward the
linguistic and visual learner, however, many children learn kinesthetically as
well as musically. When children have an opportunity to tap into their own
unique learning styles, they often excel in other areas of their lives.

Working together with parents we encourage kids and teens to realize the
fun they can have when they get up and move.  

Instruction in yoga, fitness, dance, sport specific drills and conditioning help
kids and teens enjoy the benefits of movement.  Our Programs are broken
down into
six-week sessions.  These six week sessions allow students to
progress each week in their yoga, fitness, dance,  or sports training.  The
average fee for each session is
$69.

Yoga
Ages 8-12.  Yoga practice helps kids learn how to relieve stress,
relax and tap into their inner guidance for an overall sense of well being.


Hip Hop Yoga Flow  Ages 3-5; 6-8; 9-12 year old sessions.  Traditional
Hatha Yoga postures linked with continuous movement of "Hip Hop"
dancing.  In this class you will stretch, strengthen and sweat while linking
your mind, body and breath.
6 Week Hip Hop Yoga Begins November 7, 2008


Hip Hop  Ages 8-12.   This engaging and fun dance style starts with the
basics; stretching and beginner moves.  We then cover style including
popping and locking, stepping and breaking.  Don't miss the opportunity to
learn hot new moves to show your family and friends.  A mini performance
will be featured at the end of the session.

ZUMBA  Ages 8-1.2 A fusion of Latin and international music dance themes
creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system!  The routines feature
aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms
with easy to follow dance steps; a "feel happy" workout.





Kids' Self Defense The children’s self-empowerment program is designed
for children ages 5-11 years old.  It is a curriculum based program where
the children will have educational lessons on each topic as well as a great
experience of utilizing different techniques that will be taught over the six
weeks.  This gives each student a feeling of control and also gives the
student the ability to know that they can get away from a realistic simulation
scenario that they will participate in.
We are bombarded daily with so much health and wellness information it's hard to
gain a reasonable understanding and then have the ability to apply this
information to our daily lives.

A commitment to lifelong learning is the key for creating the healthy lifestyle you
desire.  Plugging into our health and wellness series of workshops is one way to
help you do this.
